The Doctoral Internship in Health Service Psychology at Dr. Inzinna Psychological Services PLLC (DIPS) offers comprehensive, integrative training in evidence-based outpatient psychotherapy, assessment, and professional development. Our aim is to train emerging psychologists to become competent, ethical, and reflective practitioners who provide accessible, high-quality care in diverse communities. The program integrates science and practice through an Integrative, Developmental–Relational Training Model, emphasizing exposure-based, process-oriented psychotherapy within a supportive learning environment.
The DIPS internship follows a Practitioner–Scholar Model informed by a Developmental–Relational orientation. Training emphasizes the integration of empirical knowledge, theory, and reflective clinical practice. Interns receive supervision and didactic instruction in multiple evidence-based approaches — including CBT, DBT, ACT, psychodynamic, family systems, and trauma-informed interventions — within a framework that views psychological health as the capacity to approach, express, and work through what is avoided emotionally, behaviorally, and relationally.
Interns complete approximately 2,000 hours of supervised professional training over 12 months, consistent with APA and APPIC standards.
Applicants must be enrolled in a doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology and have completed required coursework and supervised practicum experiences by the start of the internship. A minimum of 500 hours of combined intervention and assessment experience is recommended, though applicants with varied training backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Application materials must be submitted through the AAPI (APPIC Application for Psychology Internships) in accordance with APPIC Match procedures. Please refer to our APPIC Directory listing for current application requirements, deadlines, and program details.
